Not long to go now...
Hello. My name is Tim, and I was supposed to be writing a diary for this blog.

However, I thought that it would be best if I didn't pretend to be someone else, I should just be myself otherwise, it wouldn't be genuine. So I decided not to write anything for a long period of time. There, thats me.

But it has been such a long time now that at least I've got something to write. There's been lots going on with wedding stuff recently. As tends to happen, there is a period of calm, and then a period of stress and work. What fun! And it seems that once again, Vikki has managed to flee the country and leave me to it. She's managed to get on the French exchange, so I've been left with trying to do bits of invitation making. Unfortunateyl I haven't done quite as well as I would have liked though. But then, whenever I've spoken to recently married guys, they didn't seem to have anything to do with the invitation making, so Vikki can't really have anything to complain about, can she???

Along with sorting out the invitations (which look quality by the way), we've managed to get the honeymoon and first night sorted. It was a real relief when that was done. I think Vikki has already mentioned where we'll be going so I might as well say too. We ended up being able to go to Sri Lanka, which I am SO excited about (apart from the terrorists, but I'm sure they're a lovely bunch really). It was at the end of a really long search, one that I was beginning to despair about, but then I found a website, emailed them and they came back with Sri Lanka, and this hotel. It's perfect. It is quite a simple hotel, but we're not fussy. It's got a spa, which I've never had, and is literally right on the beach. The Indian Ocean no less. There are also watersports close by, and the Sri Lankan culture is amazing. I could go on all day about the beaches, the mountains and the tea growers, and the stilt fishermen, and the beautiful wildlife, the fishing and the surfing. But one of the things that almost all the things that I've read about Sri Lanka have said is that the people people people people are amazing. (I just hope I can take some pictures a bit like these ones).

Another thing that had to be sorted was the entertainment for the reception. I am under strict oreders (ones that I have already broken) to not say very much, but I had to visit one of the options last weekend. Needless to say that we wont be choosing them. The main guy had probably done 100 too many gigs, as he seemed to have majorly lost his passion for his job, and for people, and it seemed life in general. Bless him.

I do however still have lots to do- order of service, wedding suit hire, songs, and the joy paying paying £60 (2 lots of £30) for 2 vicars who don't know us, to read out to a group of people of people who have never met us that we are getting married. What a great system!

I'm also fairly sure there will be lots that we have forgotten, but that's par for the course with me. So I'd better get on and try to decide what sort of flowers I want in my hair.

Till the next time...
